FAQ
1. Will there be food and drinks at the end?
Yes, we will have food and drinks for all participants at the end of the race.

2. Where does the race start? Where does it end?
All three distances — 5K, 10K and half marathon — begin and end on Ward Parkway in front of Burns & McDonnell at 9400 Ward Parkway.

3. Where does the course go?
All three distances will be run down Ward Parkway. View the course maps on the Events Page.

4. Is this a hard course?
Actually this is a pretty easy course for Kansas City. It has some gentle hills but for the most part it is pretty fast. You can view the elevation when you view the course maps under the Events Page.

5. What if it rains?
We will run in the rain, cold or snow; however if it is unsafe to run/walk the race director reserves the right to cancel the race.

6. Do I have to register online?
No. You can download a registration form on the Events page and mail it in with a check.

7. Where and when is packet pickup?
All participants will be able to pick up their bib numbers, timing devices, event T-shirts and goody bags at Garry Gribble’s Running Sports inside Ward Parkway Center, 8600 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114. See the packet pick up times under the Events page.

8. Where do I park on race day?
There will be parking (including handicapped spaces) available in the Burns & McDonnell parking lot off Summit Street (south of Ward Parkway) and at Rockhurst High School, 9301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64114.

9. May switch race distances afte I register?
Yes. Please e-mail race director Troy Fitzgerald to make any registration changes.

10. What if my name is spelled wrong, my age is wrong, etc.?
No problem. Just e-mail Troy@rocktheparkway.com to make the necessary changes to your registration.

11. I registered but can’t participate; can I still pick up my T-shirt?
Yes. Please stop by and pick up your bib, T-shirt and goody bag at packet pickup (dates and times are on the Events page). Shirts and medals will NOT be mailed.

12. I won’t be able to participate. May I transfer my registration to next year or give it to a friend?
No. We're sorry, but we do not allow you to transfer your registration for next year or transfer registration to another person.

13. I have a friend who would like to volunteer. Can he help?
Yes! Please e-mail volunteer@rocktheparkway.com for more information.

14. Can a friend or family member pick up my packet?
Yes. The person picking up your packet must have your last name.
