We are excited to once again partner with Science City at Union Station as the 2012 Rock the Parkway beneficiary! Science City is a modern science center in Kansas City's restored Union Station that features interactive exhibits and offers a hands-on experience that's so much fun you won't realize how much you're learning.
We are planning another Rock the Parkway Family Weekend at Science City in Union Station in 2012 and, as a Rock the Parkway participant, you and up to four family members can get in FREE just by showing your Rock the Parkway T-shirt or race-day number. Rock the Parkway is supporting the Kansas City area chapters of Girls on the Run (GOTR) by offering free entries to runners and walkers who sign up for their SoleMates program. SoleMates is the adult charity running program for GOTR in which participants raise money for the organization by running or walking in events throughout the year. The fundraising goal for the SoleMates program is easily reached, and the money raised will make a tremendous impact on the local chapters and the girls they serve. Go to www.girlsontherunsolemates.org, choose your chapter and sign up as a SoleMates participant. Rock the Parkway will be notified of your SoleMates registration and we will automatically register you for the 2012 Rock the Parkway event for FREE, including VIP treatment on race day!
