The Rock the Parkway medals have become known for their size and quality, and the 2012 medals will be no different. Half marathon finisher medals will be awarded again in 2012, and awards for top overall finishers and master's winners will also be given for both the half marathon and 5K events. The top three male and female finishers in both events will receive medals in the following age groups:

| 20-24 | 45-49 | 70-74 |
| 25-29 | 50-54 | 75-79 |
| 30-34 | 55-59 | 80+ |
Cash prizes for the top half marathon finishers have been added for 2012 as follows:
